The coat will fit a chest 46”, it measures 25” across the chest laying flat, across the back is 21” arm length 27.5” and the length from nape to hem is 48”.
Condition Description -In good used condition, there is a button missing off one of the cuffs, a small tear at the back near the vent, some moth grazing one of the pocket flaps. The lining near the collar needs attention as well as the buttonholes which could do with a tidy. Images shown.

Description

The coat will fit a chest 46”, it measures 25” across the chest laying flat, across the back is 21” arm length 27.5” and the length from nape to hem is 48”.
The coat was tailored for and sold by the famous Kingston Shop Bentalls in the 1940s.
It is a really thick, very good quality wool fabric in a speckled black/charcoal colour. It is lined in a black duchess silk satin.
It is double breasted fastening with four buttons. It has wide notch lapels and a single vent at the back.
The coat has been used in various productions of the 1940s era both on screen and stage.
