Original 1950s RAF Tunic by Gieves Chest 42″ Ideal For Goodwood Revival.

The jacket will fit a chest 42” (it measures 22” across laying flat), across the back is 19”, sleeve length 25.5”, waist 36” (it measures 19” across laying flat) and the length from nape to hem is 32”.
Condition – In good used condition, the rank braiding on the sleeves is starting to fray in places, images shown..
The jacket will fit a chest 38” (it measures 20” across laying flat), across the back is 18”, sleeve length 24.5”, waist 34” (it measures 18” across laying flat) and the length from nape to hem is 30”
The tunic was tailored in 1951 by Gieves for a A.P.MacDonald.
The tunic has been used in a few WW2 theatre/tv productions as well as being worn at The Goodwood Revival.
So that it could be worn in the WW2 era, original brass Kings Crown buttons have been added, Kings Crown wings and Wing Commander rank rings on the sleeves. The belt has also been sewn on at the back. All of this has been done by a professional tailor.
