Vintage 1950s RAF Medical Officers Mess Jacket by Gieves . Chest 40”.

The jacket will fit a chest 40”, it measures 21” from armpit to armpit laying flat, across the back is 18”, arm length 26” and the length from nape to hem is 22.5”.
Condition – In good vintage condition, there is a small moth mark at the back near the collar and another at the back near the sleeve, images shown.

Description

The jacket will fit a chest 40”, it measures 21” from armpit to armpit laying flat, across the back is 18”, arm length 26” and the length from nape to hem is 22.5”.
The uniform was tailored by Gieves for A.G. Blyth in 1952.
It has two gold rings on the cuffs of a Flight Lieutenant or Other Commissioned Ranks.
There are two medical insignia on the lapels with Kings Crowns and the brass buttons also have Kings Crowns.
