Description
- The suit will fit a chest 42”, it measures 23” from armpit to armpit laying flat, across the back is 18”, arm length 24”, length of the jacket from nape to hem is 30”. The waist of the trousers is 36” but has been tacked in 2” so will fit a 38” if let out, inside leg 32” and the width of the hem is 8”.

- The suit was bespoke for Lord O’Brien G.B.E in 1972. While the Governor of the Bank of England.
- The jacket is double breasted with six buttons, it has wide notch lapels and no vent at the back, there are buttons on the cuffs.
- The waistcoat is single breasted with an adjustable half belt at the back.
- The trousers are fishtail but they have been taken in 2” with large stitches which closes the fishtail back. They have turn ups, pleats at the front and buttons for braces.
Condition – In good vintage condition, the jacket has a very small hole near one of the buttons and there has been a small repair to the back. The waistcoat has a tiny hole at the front and some marks on the lining. The trousers have a moth grazing on the right leg, have been taken in by large stitches and it looks as if a new zip has been added.
